Westonka performing arts center

As an addition to the Mound Westonka High School main building, the Performing Arts Center blends seamlessly into the original main building with a glass curtain wall; a building mass that steps up from the main building, presenting a non-imposing impression to visitors; and functions that naturally work together with the main building. The curvy shape of the new Performing Arts Center contrasts with the rectangular original main building that reinforces images of both buildings. At a very tight budget, the Performing Arts Center design fulfills all functional needs of the client and exceeds the client’s expectation by offering vivid spaces, natural light, and pleasing building aesthetics.
